There will be an opportunity for the community to sign a petition to allow poultry in Pawnee Hills this Saturday, June 29th from 8am to 12pm at the Mail house.
Last year we put this to a vote and had a very positive response. 76 members (actually more but they were not eligible to vote due to past due balances on HOA dues), voted yes to allow chickens in our community. This is a very large percentage. There are still members of our community that do not vote and from talking to those many are still suffering from misconceptions of the last Chicken Wars. This community has a history of tattletales which left a fear of participation. I can attest that participation is difficult but that doesn't mean we should just sit back and let things stay the same.
Many folks like to remain anonymous when voting or signing a petition. This petition will allow for that. For more information regarding this petition, please stop by on Saturday morning.
Also, if you would like to volunteer some time to get signatures, send me an email at barbstc@gmail.com.
This Blog is for the residents of Pawnee Hills to discuss any matters they would like to. The HOA board refused to start one indicating it would be too negative. We are all adults and certainly we can communicate on an adult level. This is not meant to be a complaint board but a discussion board. Do you have an idea that will help the community? Please share it here! All are welcome here. If you prefer you may leave your comments anonymously. Either way, we are glad to have you here!

I Agree..... lets stand for our needs too..
ReplyDeleteI will be there. I hope to see lots of support from the people in this neighborhood who have always wanted change. Our requests have always been reasonable and for good causes. We all pay dues here and our hopes dreams and lifestyles should be recognized as well. There are some very selfish and mean people in this neighborhood that think their way is the only way. We need to clear this hurdle from the track.
ReplyDeleteIs there a way for homeowners that may not be around this weekend to get their names on the petition later?
ReplyDeleteYes, we will continue to have signing events until enough signatures are obtained. If you would like to contact me directly I am happy to meet you. Email me at barbstc@gmail.com.
DeleteWe'll be there to sign. Let there be eggs.
ReplyDeleteBarb, how many signatures were you able to get and when will you be back at the mail boxes again?
ReplyDeleteWe did well on Saturday :) I will post the next date and location I will have the petition available for signing both here on the blog and at the mailboxes.
